Call for Papers and Abstract Submission

Authors are invited to submit original papers on topics related to the conference scope. All submissions must be on original research that is not published or currently under review by any another conference or journal.

All accepted abstracts and extended abstracts will be published in the ‘Conference Abstract Book’ and ‘Conference e-Abstract Book’ with an ISBN and eISBN code, respectively. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal, Malaysian Journal of Microbiology (MJM). MJM is indexed in SCOPUS, CAS, CABI, WPRIM, DOAJ, MyCite, MyAIS, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and Google Scholar [Note: It is likely that MJM will be indexed as an ISI journal in 2016]. The scope of the conference includes but not limited to the following:

  • Biosensors
  • Biodiagnostics
  • Biochips
  • Biotechnology
  • Applications of biosensors, biodiagnostics and biochips in biotech industry
  • Current challenges in biotech industry in using biosensors, biodiagnostics and biochips
  • Emerging fields in biosensors, biodiagnostics, biochips and biotechnological innovations

Abstract Submission

Abstracts must be prepared by following the 3rdRC4Bs-2016 guidelines to prepare the abstract. Abstract and completed registration form submissions must be emailed to 3rdRC4Bs-2016@aimst.edu.my and 3rdRC4Bs.2016@gmail.com on or before January 31, 2016.

We welcome abstracts within the scope of the conference. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee. The submitted abstract that are not in the format of the guidelines shall be returned back to the author for timely revision while irrelevant abstracts shall not be considered for presentation.

Guidelines to Prepare the Abstract

    i. Abstract should be written in English.

    ii. The title should not be more than 15 words.

    iii. Abstract should not be more that 250 words, excluding title, author names and affiliations.

    iv. It is necessary to state 4-6 keywords following the abstract.

    v. Abstract must include 4 major sections such as Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.

    vi. The Organizing Committee reserves the rights to edit the abstract text to maintain the quality and or consistency.

    vii. The abstract should be original and not be submitted previously to any other conference/meeting.

    viii. The presenting author’s name must be underlined, and addition of new author after the submission and or acceptance of the abstract is not encouraged.

    ix. The presenting author must register to the conference. The abstract of the unregistered candidates will not be processed for publication in the proceedings.

    x. The presenting author will be responsible for the accuracy of scientific contents of the submitted abstract. The organizing committee is not responsible for the results and conclusion provided in the abstract.

Corresponding authors of all accepted abstracts will be notified via email on or before February 15, 2016. The type of presentation, i.e. oral or poster will also be notified and the final decision will be made by the Scientific Committee of the Conference.
