

Between formal classes, the students visit the museum to learn and revise their anatomy and to gain a full appreciation of the human body. The teaching function of the specimen is enhanced by identification of the structures on a corresponding labeled photograph.
The hall houses dissection tables, artificial and natural skeletons for the benefit of the students. Adjacent to the hall there is a separate cold storage room for storing cadavers and prosected specimens; embalming room and group study room. X-rays are available along with a viewing box inside dissection. There is also a computer which contain revision material for various Anatomy practicals and dissection sessions
Students can study the dissected parts in our dissection hall at anytime to enhance their knowledge.


MDL's serves the needs of all the basic disciplines in Medicine. The faculty and staff are committed to the needs of the students and provide time, high quality services. The laboratory works in a multidisciplinary mode with lecturers from all basic disciplines of medicine, medical students and support staff.
