Diploma in Computer Networking
Computer networks consist of
interconnected computer systems. The purpose of networking these components
together is to share information and computing resources. An obvious example of
a computer network is the Internet, in which millions of people access
information and computer resources throughout the world. A 2˝-year diploma in
computer networking at AIMST will enrich the students with all the essential skills required for
entry-level positions in network administration and computer support roles.
This course
develops the skills needed to support diverse computer networks, corporate
servers, users and computer applications. Besides a strong
theoretical foundation, the course equips the students with the skills they
would need to work as a practicing networking specialists, whether it is the maintenance, troubleshooting and
configuration, setting up and administration of networks or is the installation
and configuration of the network management devices
for a demanding work environment.
As the demand for the networking professionals is
becoming ubiquitous across every industry globally, especially in the most
critical areas of networking security, wireless networking and
voice-over-Internet-Protocol development, the decision to embark on computer networking
