AIMST UNIVERSITY -- SEMELING CAMPUS RULES

1. ENTERING  CAMPUS

  • No students will be allowed entry without Student ID.
  • Students must stop at main security gate when entering or leaving campus.
  • Any hostel student leaving after 8.00 pm must sign-out and sign-in upon returning before 12.00 mid-night. This also applies during weekends.
  • Curfew time is 12.00 mid-night. All hostel students must be in before that time.
  • Non – hostellers entering campus after 8.00 p.m. must give their NRIC for recording purposes to the security at the main gate. They will be given a special pass. When leaving campus the special pass has to be returned to the security.
  • During weekends or public holidays all non-hostellers entering campus at any time and for any purpose have to give their NRIC to the security for recording purposes.
  • All non-hostellers have to leave campus by 12.00 mid-night. Non-hostellers are strictly not allowed to enter or put up the night at the hostel.
  • Students of the university must wear their Student ID at all times while on campus for security and other purposes.


2. VISITORS AT CAMPUS

  • All visitors have to give their NRIC to the security for recording purposes at the main gate and collect the special pass before entering campus.

  • All visitors are only allowed to be on campus for a maximum of 2 (two) hours.

  • Visitors are only allowed to meet staff or students at designated places like the cafetaria. Parents can meet students at the common centre at the Student Residence Block.

  • Any negative or unacceptable behaviour by visitors will not be tolerated. University security are empowered to ask the visitors to leave campus.

  • No visitors are allowed after 8.00 p.m. (unless for urgent / emergency cases )

 

3. STUDENT CONDUCT AT CAMPUS

  • Students are allowed to socialize and mix around without displaying any form of closeness or physical contact with the opposite sex while on campus.

  • Students are not allowed to wander around alone, in pairs or groups in dark places or enter any office or isolated building on campus. Security officers will ask students to move if they are found there.

  • Any form of ragging is prohibited at the university. Severe action will be taken against students engaged in ragging which may include suspension or expulsion.

  • Students are expected to follow safety and traffic rules when riding motor-bikes or driving. Maximum speed limit on campus is 30 km per hour.

  • Students must use safety helmets while riding motor bikes.

  • Cars/motorbikes are to be parked at designated parking bays. University vehicle stickers are to be displayed on all vehicles.
