The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), established in January 2002, has the distinction of being the first Faculty to be established at AIMST. The Faculty which comprises of the three Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy, is a dynamic teaching and research faculty of growing national and international stature. Medical Education is undergoing rapid change globally in response to trends in health care, newer concepts in learning, pressure from the community and the profession itself. Our education and evaluation systems emphasize on the health-team approach, the development of problem based learning skills and a life-long learning tailored to suit the students' talents and interests. The Faculty is committed to providing modern, world-class undergraduate degree programmes in Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy to meet the healthcare needs of Malaysia and the region. It offers courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and the degree of Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm). |
