On the 6 October, 2007, the Pharmaceutical
Society of AIMST (PHARMSA) organized the first annual School of Pharmacy Dinner
for all pharmacy students and lecturers. ‘Masquerade’ was the theme for that
night. The event was held in Rajawali Ballroom in Cinta Sayang Resort, Sungai
Petani Mr. Vispanathan Ainiman, Managing Director of Zontron Pharmaceuticals was
the special guest.
Upon arrival, all invitees and guests signed the guest
book. Dinner started at 7.30 p.m. sharp with the arrival of the VIP, Mr.
Vispanathan and Dr. Sureshwar Pandey, Acting Dean, School of Pharmacy.
Priscillia Jelining and Vijay were the MCs. Opening performances were followed
by speeches from Ng Tsu Yin, Chairperson of the Organising Committee, Melissa
Hong, President of PHARMSA, Dr. Pandey and lastly Mr. Vispanathan. Dances, songs
filled the hall and band performance was enlightening during the dinner.
Students from Batch 1, 2 and 3 took part in presenting songs and dances. In
between performances, there were lucky draws. After that was the nomination for
the Prom King and Prom Queen for the night. Adam from the 3rd batch of Pharmacy
was named as the Prom King while Steffi from 1st batch was named the Prom Queen
of the night. This was then followed by the band performance and finally the
dance floor was opened to everyone. The first annual dinner of Aimst
Pharmaceutical Society ended at 12.30 a.m.
